Under the partnership, KT, the country’s largest mobile service carrier plans to build the country’s first and only mobile game subscription service platform based on Exent’s Game Tanium platform, which is the first and only all-you-can-eat subscription service.
As the Game Tanium platform offers an unfettered game play of the hottest games on Android, millions of KT customers will have unlimited access to more than 75 of the best Android game titles like Farm Frenzy, Rpitide GP, and Majesty.
According to research firm Nomura Research, smartphone game users in Korea are projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 34% from 10.2 million in 2011 to 33.1 million in 2015, with spending on mobile games expected to increase to 710 billion won (approximately US$630.5 million) during this 5 year period.
